Los jóvenes de Guaruma participaron a una campaña de salud, gracias al apoyo de dos medicos del Centro Regional de Litoral Atlantico (hospital Atlantida) de La Ceiba. Con el objectivo de tomar muestras de sangre para examenes de salud de los niños de la cuenca del Rio Cangrejal. Los medicos visitaron la escuela del Progreso en Las Mangas, el colegio del Pital y el instituto El Rey del Rio Viejo.“Esta camapana fue de mucho beneficio ya que de esta manera se pueden detectar algunas enfermedades a tiempo y prevenir futuras.”On May 8th, two nurses from La Ceiba hospital came to visit the students of Guaruma in order to collect the students’ blood and then analyze it to detect potential health problems. The doctors went to the school of El Progreso in Las Mangas, then headed to High School Polivaliente of El Pital and finally to the High School El Rey in Rio Viejo. About fifty students gave their blood and even if some of them were a bit scared, the majority responded positively to it and felt like heroes in the end!
